No. The Golden Unicorns is first and foremost a fellowship. The app is its online home — open only to accepted Unicorns — while Gaytherins are where that belonging becomes real offline.
What is a Gaytherin’?
A Gaytherin’ is a curated gathering for gay men under The Golden Unicorns: social, aesthetic, intimate, and designed to create real resonance between the people in the room.
Is this a dating app?
The Golden Unicorns is a fellowship. Connection here begins with recognition — at real tables, through shared beauty and conversation. Whatever grows from that belongs to each Unicorn.

You begin with our online form: tell us your story and choose the membership that fits your geography and way of belonging. Selected applicants receive their Golden Key — the invitation to download the app, log in, and take their place in the fellowship.

The Spices Ceremony is our signature ritual: a celebration of one life, told through the spices of the world — their stories, their symbolism, their fire. It is created for the celebrated Unicorn’s birthday: him and ten guests of his choosing, eleven at the table, anywhere in the world, on a date set together. Reserved for The Golden Unicorn Experience.
Is my privacy protected?
Discretion is a founding value. The fellowship is private, membership is never public, and what happens in a Gaytherin’ belongs to those in the room. The app operates under GDPR, and your story is shared only as far as you choose.
Why the name The Golden Unicorns?
The unicorn symbolises rarity, freedom, and inner truth. The horn is the crown of an awakened eye — sensitivity lived as vision, artistry, and self-knowledge. And gold, because that is where we come from.
